Hard Hat is an artist (Music Producer /Composer, rapper, singer and also an inventor) based in Mpumalanga Allemansdrift “C”. He started doing music at the very young age. He was just singing gospel by then at school with his friends. Then Justice came and join him into his music journey and introduced him to “Oupa Malapile”, the first producer he knew who worked with so many artists around Allemansdrift. While in the classroom in grade 9 busy singing with his friend namely; Karabo Maboea , Ntokozo Moepi also liked the way he sang(the way he played with some notes/ vocals harmonics while singing) and he took him to Dumaiza at Vaalbank for 1 hit record. And then he separated from some of people who teamed up with for some good reasons.  So along the way, he changed from the style of music he was doing to being an R&B/Hip Hop artist.

 

He had a crew with THE B.E.K and The late Sfiso (well Known as; Goku) Called beat hetchers. He separated with the guys for some good reasons. So after 2 years from that time, he met the most creative person, actually he called him “God of art” DJ Elpolo-Loco. He taught Hard Hat So many things about this music fundamental. Actually 70% of this music stuff taught him, he’s talking about playing the musical instruments and so...! He worked with DJ Elpolo-Loco for so many years while schooling. Thereafter Wave showed up then we made a team and hustling together in this craft for performances. Unfortunately, DJ Elpolo-Loco moved with his family to the other place way too far from where they were busy with this music stuff…Hard Hat never gave up for that reason, he started producing music after DJ Elpolo-Loco left the place.

 

I.M.Cees Crew came, then Wave joined the crew. Then they also asked Hard Hat to be their Producer, he never denied what the Crew asked from him. After a while, He noticed that the Crew I.M.Cees were too committed on what they’re doing, he joined them to be part of the crew too. What attracted him to be part of it was; their good attitude and commitment he saw to them since he also like a progress on whatever he’s doing. By then Hard Hat wasn’t owning any of the music gear, he just had his invented microphone to record them vocals using Wave’s PC.

 

While Hard hat still busy with them n#ggas, he had a dream of having his own Recording Studio. He then started planning on building his own Record Company Named Ice-Cream Muzik Production. He named the studio after the late Ice-Cream Amos Phiri, His biological father. After all he planned, he took all that into action by using baby-steps method up until he reaches his dream. Lucky enough he had a supportive family that believed in him, supporting his dream at all times while he’s on that building process.

 

After Completing his Grade 12 the year 2015, he met Mavusana (Vusi Mahamba) and working together on Dj Lakapa’s Projects. From there he started working together with Mavusana on most of the projects till to date, since he noticed that they both have something in common which is obviously known as...!  Remember, he still also working with his Crew I.M.Cees Though they also release singles each of them.

 

He once shares the stage with the following artists; (1). W.Com, (2)SiscoTee (3).Coco at Club Y. Then (4).Pitch-Black Afro,(5). Big Zulu (6).Razz Mighty and (7). Thulibathi performing at KwaMhlanga Marvelous Pub.

He produced an Album of I.M.Cees crew called Esoteric, an EP of an artist go by the name of “Ego Steez” called schemin’ and Finesin’ and also few singles of other artist around Kamelrevir and Allemansdrift A, B and C like Sushi boys, A Larte the musician. He Collaborated with DJ BNA with a house project they featured Tshepi on it. He also Recorded and done the mixing of the Projects of KGRASS, Dr Malinga, Pastor Mbhobho and John Cindi at Umgido Records and Entertainment.
